Had a very pleasant 2 night stay in the female only dorm here which was perfect for my trip to London. I've never had a bad experience in a YHA and this hostel was no exception. The main reception which doubles as a lounge is full of light and has a fun, relaxing vibe to it. I was warmly welcomed by the staff when I arrived around 10pm and they were ready with suggestions on things to do in London (you also get discounts if you book attraction tickets at their main desk). You can get a proper barista coffee or Yorkshire tea at reception, or have a beer (they stock Camden hells). They have a self catering kitchen as YHAs do, and you can also buy food at the hostel, although I didn't use it on my trip. Free filtered water at reception. They have a lift and entry to the stairs going to the bedrooms was key card controlled, as is every room and dorm. I felt very safe. The dorms have spacious boxes under the bed that can be locked, one for each person in the room (bring a padlock) and I was able to fit a carry on inside. Beside each bed is a bedside lamp, power outlet and small shelf big enough to put your glasses on and phone. Each dorm also has coat hangers and pegs to put your coats. The rooms are clean, with fresh sheets and duvet etc. and the shared shower and toilets outside the dorm were spotless (lovely powerful shower!). I rented a huge towel from reception for a very reasonable £2.50 The only comment I have about the rooms are they are very hot even with the window open, I think because of how close they are to the showers which is not something the hostel can control. But having encountered this before in other hostels round the world I came prepared. Finally the location is excellent, easy to get to from Euston and very close to tube stations and Regents park. The area felt safe at night and it was very easy to find my way back - if you get lost, follow the BT tower and you'll be in the right neighbourhood in no time! I met some great people in this hostel and had a brilliant time! I would definitely return.
