I’d give Welcome Break South Mimms Services a solid 3 out of 5. It’s a functional stop on the M25, not amazing but it gets the job done. I grabbed a tuna pitta wrap from Pret A Manger, fresh, decent quality, and a nice change from the usual greasy options. There are plenty of places to eat here, including Burger King, KFC, Subway, PizzaExpress, Taco Bell, Costa, and Starbucks (there's even a drive-thru). You’ll also find a WHSmith, Krispy Kreme, and a small Waitrose if you need to stock up on snacks or drinks. So whether you’re after fast food, coffee, or something a bit lighter, there’s a decent range of choices. The car park is big and easy to navigate. There are separate areas for cars, lorries, coaches, and caravans, which helps keep things organised. Parking is free for the first two hours, but if you stay longer, it gets pricey — £15 for up to 24 hours. Definitely something to keep in mind if you're planning a longer break. Facilities are generally clean and up to date. It’s one of the better stops for electric vehicle drivers, with a large selection of EV chargers including GRIDSERVE, Applegreen, and Tesla. Inside, there’s also a Ramada hotel, showers, and even a small gaming area. If you’re in the mood for something a bit more relaxed, there are a couple of pubs in the nearby village of South Mimms, like The Black Horse and The White Hart. They’re not far and might make a nicer stop if you’re not in a rush. Overall, South Mimms isn’t anything special, but it’s convenient, has a wide range of food options, and decent parking. Not bad at all for a quick break on a long drive.

A good spot to have a break, use the wash facilities and grab a bite to eat. There’s plenty of food choices if you’re picky, Taco Bell, Burger King, Pizza Express, KFC, Breakfast bar and much more. The seating area is very clean, the floods are immaculate and that’s the first thing I noticed, just how looked after the area were. The toilets were really well kept with over thirty toilets with disabled facilities, and baby changing too. If you want more than just food, there is an arcade to spend time in, and an electronic gadget store for all your phone bits. Friendly staff serving food. Be mindful you are praying inflated prices as it’s a service station. Double the usual rice for food, magazines, snacks and so on .
