Travelodge London Hackney

Had a great stay here. Room was spacious enough for three people. The building is right next to the Overground station, but the windows point the opposite way, so it is not a problem. There are several cafes (with free wifi) on the ground floor. We could leave our luggage for free at reception outside check-in hours. Room: spacious (for London), clean, good towels and bed linen, USB charger slots, electrical tea can and cups in-room, dark blinders, large TV. All in all great value for the money. Highly recommend!

the location is great, and it's quiet because it's very tucked away. the staff were delightful and friendly. however, the cleanliness was pretty bad. the ominous stains on the carpet / towels / bedding. the ring of yellow grime in the sink. the layers of crud on the showerhead. we also needed to be moved from our initial room because the smell when we entered was something else. again, staff were very accomodating and kind about this, but if you need a cheap and central place to stay and this is the only option, lower your expectations.
