The booking experience online was problematic with Travelodge charging my card but not providing the booking. Now I have to chase the refund! Then when I turned up at reception the receptionist could not make a booking so I needed to call the call centre to book the room (which they charged a fee for !!!). Then once I had a booking for a higher price than I originally booked I ended up with a family room (multiple folding beds with no space between beds) that was very smelly and not cleaned well (pubic hair on the toilet seat and in the bowl and mould on the shower tiles). Then in the morning in the light of the day I saw the curtains YUK! (see picture). Overall I will now stick with staying with the Premier Inn which are consistent and clean!!!
