Perfect location! It feels like wild camping – surrounded by nature and far from the city buzz – yet it’s still close enough to get back to civilisation easily. The pitches are spacious, with the grass cut into clear sections so there’s no confusion about where to set up. There’s a lovely walk along the Thames, and the whole place has a real sense of peace and freedom. I really appreciate the rules too – they make sure everyone respects each other’s rest, and it’s wonderful to enjoy the sounds of birds instead of music when you want to connect with nature. The composting loos are clean and perfectly fine, and there’s a washing-up area (looked like cold water only, though I didn’t use it). There are also two showers, which seemed nice and clean, but again I didn’t try them myself. Overall, this is a great green campsite – simple, calm, and with everything you need. Tucked away from the city, but close to everything. No wonder I came back, and I’ll definitely be back again.
