Swimming Nature - Southwark

I wish I could give 5 stars, but unfortunately, I can only give two. My daughter started at Angela’s Swimming School when she was 3, and things were great back then, especially under Leo’s management. However, since he left, the quality has noticeably declined. They now only offer lessons on Wednesdays, the staff keeps changing, and there’s very poor communication with parents. Prices have increased significantly, by about 20% since January 2025, and when I emailed to ask why, I received no reply. Compared to other swim schools, the value just isn’t there anymore. I know at least two other parents who’ve pulled their kids out due to dissatisfaction with both the teaching and the customer service. During lessons, the teachers often seem distracted and frequently check the clock. My daughter is at an intermediate/advanced level, but the sessions are poorly structured, they only use half of the pool, and there’s no proper focus on technique like leg work. It all feels disorganised and unprofessional. Really disappointed, especially after such a positive start years ago.

Amazing swim school! If you are looking for a swim school that can help to build your little one’s confidence with a big smile on their face and a thumbs up each week learning to swim unaided with style!!!! Then look no further than Angela’s Swim School! My Son learnt to swim with Angela’s Swim School and his style of swimming looks effortless (even had people approach me around the pool on our all inclusive holidays to remark on what a fantastic swimmer your son is for his age - 4years old) The pool at Darwin Court in Southwark is lovely, really clean and warm (great for the winter months!) the changing facilities are fully equipped and also very clean. There is a lovely seating area where you can watch your happy little ones swim each week and a very nice reasonable priced cafe area where you can purchase hot / cold food and drinks before or after your lesson. What can I say about the staff! fantastic, kind and caring swimming instructors that make such an effort with the Children each week (I don’t think I have ever sat around a pool and seen so many happy Children smiling each week) really lovely to see and to hear poolside I’m not the only parent buzzing about this swim school, they really do make an effort both with the swimmers and the parents. The swim school have an amazing swim programme (The Swim Stylers) the Children follow through the stages each term and are rewarded their badge and certificate at the end of each term poolside, my Son loved receiving his badges from his teacher. HUGE thank you to all the staff at Angela’s Swim School 👏
