Steeple Bay Holiday Park

A memorable holiday at steeple bay holiday park indeed. It's located close to a backwater lake that feeds from the nearby oceans. The park is pretty big and caravans are newly refurbished, refitted and quite big n wide. They are spread with quite space between so feels spaced. Each caravan has it's own boiler, kitchen with gas hob and all dishes, cutleries etc When we came in, we found the beds were made which is really good. We were 3 families and caravans were allocated close by, which is very good. There's an outdoor swimming pool, daily entertainment for adults and children, pub, restaurant, local shop all close by which was great. On a downside, the food at the restaurant was but pricey (£15 for fish and chips), and at the same time not get tasty (mostly cooked from frozen). The half roast chicken was real bland, with a light tasteless sauce. :(

Overall fantastic place. Unsure why the previous reviews are so bad. Our caravan was tidy a few small issues like a chipped paint on the corner of the wall, ice tray broken, oven knobs quite greasy but did just clean them before use. but overall the place was extremely clean and the beds were excellent. The bay was absolutely lovely was very funny watching all the people out on the boats and jet skis. All staff were excellent and friendly. The food wasn’t the best and the drinks were slightly expensive from the bar. The on site small shop is incredibly fairly priced which was a great surprise. Pool is absolutely lovely Dylan the life guard was absolutely fantastic and a really friendly lad, adult only swimming times are always quiet and highly recommended doing it. Only real cons for me were the following. The road to get to the site isn’t great. Nearest supermarket is 30 minutes away A lot of unaccompanied children misbehaving had a few sitting on top of the hockey machine in the arcade instead of paying to use it, kids on electric scooters not following road layout Overall very happy with my experience and will hopefully return in the future.
