I was absolutely pleasantly surprised with my stay here, it was perfect. My bed was comfy with a charger and shelf to put a few items, and curtains all around for privacy. The ceiling was tall as well and was easy to climb in and out of the top bunk. There was ample room to put bags and clothes. The room was carpeted which really helped make it quieter as well, I didn’t even bring earplugs and was just fine. Also no issues with lights at all. The toilets are clearly regularly cleaned and the showers were spacious and private as well. There was no queue either, even the day I showered right before checkout time. There is also a nice vanity area in the corridor so you can do skincare or whatever in a dry area without waking people up. Staff were friendly and helpful as well. This was honestly very peaceful. I am very reserved so I didn’t go to these but there were some fun looking social events as well if you want to make friends. The location is very good, felt safe in a posh area right near a bus stop and the Swiss Cottage tube station. Tesco express nearby with a coffee shop and a laundromat as well. Overall I thought this was nice, especially for the price, and would absolutely stay again next time I have a short stay in London.

The high ratings have to be a joke or some sort of bots It’s set in a beautiful old building but that’s all that is good about it. The rooms are small and have zero ventilation, it smelled like sweat the entire time and windows open barely 5cm Showers are inside of plastic boxes that make you feel like you’re in a public toilet. The doors always slam and are incredibly loud Most of the employees were disinterested, unfriendly and borderline condescending The majority of guests are over 40 years old and it shows, the atmosphere is dead and depressing. I’ve stayed in hundreds of hostels in my life and never one as bad
