Women’s only gym that is big with good variety of equipment. Access straight into changing room and showers. again very spacious. One thing I would like to say is that I think all the changing rooms, shower rooms and toilets need to either be updated or refurbished to better the quality. On the weekends and on a Monday I take my children to their swimming classes and the cubicles smell awful. I mean most of the time it is well maintained but of course very outdated and especially with the traffic of people I understand that this is bound to happen. Perhaps there is a need for more maintenance staff during busier periods busy days. The staff are really nice.

It feels worthwhile to let people know that I literally contracted a UTI from the swimming pool here, especially if you’re compromised in some way. Tried swimming here for the first time and experienced irritation immediately after, which cleared up by the end of the day; thought nothing of it, normal chlorine irritation etc… Went again 2 days later and that time it didn’t clear up!! I take all the preventative measures, showering before and after I swim and getting out of my costume asap, but that unfortunately means nothing if the pool isn’t being maintained properly / others aren’t doing the same! It’s a shame because this is my local pool and I was really excited about getting into swimming here, but now unfortunately I’m too worried to go back. So much for free swimming if we’re all dunking ourselves in a pool of bacteria lol….. I wish I took a tube of the water and got it tested.
