I purchased an introductory deep tissue massage session via Groupon, but unfortunately the experience did not reflect what was advertised. The appointment began with an extensive set of questions about specific injury implying that this is booking for the treatment for a specific area of pain/ injury. All of my medical details were gathered (not many... as I was not injured!!). While some screening is normal, this went far beyond what was necessary and felt disproportionate, especially as I had no injury and only mentioned general shoulder tension. Despite repeatedly clarifying this, the therapist continued to probe for very specific injury-related information that was simply irrelevant. Although the voucher described a full-body deep tissue massage, the session focused on only one area and felt more like a clinical assessment than an actual massage. The therapist frequently referenced his three years of experience in a way that felt dismissive rather than reassuring. The environment also fell short of expectations. The London Bridge location appears to be inside a residential building, and the interior felt unwelcoming and hostile. The treatment rooms were extremely small and visibly worn, with marks and damage on walls and ceilings. Noise travelled clearly through the thin walls, making the session feel far from private. I was unexpectedly asked whether I had brought my own towel—something that was not communicated beforehand and is not standard in wellness or massage settings I had ever experienced (and I regularly attend physio and sports massages at various venues). They also could not offer water after the session, which is very unusual for a place offering physical therapy or massage services. My appointment started late but ended exactly on time, with no adjustment despite the delay at their end. At the end of the session, I was 'strongly encouraged' to purchase additional treatments at a “discounted” price, but only if I committed immediately. The upsell felt pressured, particularly because the recommendations seemed based solely on the something I mentioned in passing. Payment was taken directly by the therapist- he had the card reader literally to hand in no time! There is no reception area, and I received no email confirmation of the payment or any kind of invoice—only the card machine receipt—which raises concerns about how transactions are handled and accounted for! The following day I felt unwell (sick/ nauseous), which made me question whether the technique used was appropriate. I was warn that i might experience pain- but that's not the case- just feeling incredibly nauseous! Overall, the experience felt uncomfortable, unprofessional, and not aligned with what was promoted on Groupon. I would not return and would advise others to be aware of these points before booking.

Really disappointing experience. I had my first session which was good and the guy was professional and gave me a good massage. I purchased two further sessions and on arriving for the second session, I was kept waiting for 15-20 mins when finally I went upstairs and the guy looked dazed and didn’t even know I had an appointment. He got me to speak to the manager and they said my booking wasn’t on the systems. Despite me showing emails. He was like let’s book you in again, I said I travelled 45 mins there and have the same journey back, so want a refund which he did give. However the time I wasted an my travel costs weren’t covered. I emailed they and they ignored me. I think it’s not the most organised place, I saw someone else at their Tottenham Court Road branch, she kept me Waiting for 15 mins as well, didn’t even apologise, I found her to be quite rude and she didn’t even bother to wash her hands before the adjustments, they do try and upsell you heavily and they aren’t cheap for a 30 mins appointment. Be prepared to pay a lot for lateness and disorganisation.
