JD Gyms in Reading. First trip on opening day. This is a great gym no denying it. Superb equipment. Open and spacious gym across 2 floors. Changing rooms are upstairs left for women right for men. Scan the QR code on the plaque by the turnstiles as you come in for fast WIFI - seamless add and login. You’ll need a padlock you can’t have bags on the floor - buy one in the vending machine for okay price. Changing rooms really good. Sauna a bit odd, you all kind of sit in a glass box and stare out at everyone … no they are not mixed there is one in each changing room. Staff seem cool. It smells so new. Downstairs is Hammer Strength machine heaven. Upstairs is cardio and Matrix kit - the newer stuff. It’s well lit inside considering no windows or natural light source. Music is okay from considerable speaker system. Parking - good luck with that! And when leaving the tricky road layout is a white knuckle logic test for sure. Thanks to JD team member Marlena who was very helpful and answered a few questions while showing me round the gym on the first day!Recommended.

This new JD Gym is EPIC! Joined on opening day and had a guided tour with Atabak, one of the PTs. Have trained every day since and the gym is spacious with brand new high-end gear throughout. The saunas in the changing rooms are incredible after a workout!
