(Originally posted on 2019 but don’t keep the old account) I joined Glass Mill leisure centre in mid-November 2018 as a monthly subscribed member. Everything seemed to be nice and smooth at first but there have been numerous events that have made me change my mind about the worthiness of staying in the centre. My main complaint lies within the fitness / gym / instructors / team since this has been my preferred activity on my time here. At least the one I have put more hours into. - Despite the staff members have confirmed that cancelled classes are notified beforehand, there is a complete absolute absence of any kind of notifications when a class is in fact cancelled (no e-mail, no phone calls, no app notifications. Nothing). Classes are cancelled with no previous notice wasting my commuting time and money for nothing. - Classes that apparently are inexistent or with no instructors planned for that day remain visible and available for booking via mobile application and online so reception keeps booking them. This is a fact that members of the team are aware of. Nobody cares or do nothing about it after several wakeup calls. They keep passing on the subject to other people but nothing happens. - When classes are apparently going to happen (nobody in reception says there is a cancellation and get the class ticket), MOST of the times (every single time in the last month and a half) fitness instructors are either missing, starting late and/or making up excuses for this vanishing. This has been told to superior members available at the time verbal complaint were held. Even so, big lack of seriousness and more excuses from them too. “We are waiting for a new instructor that is going to start this week”. Several weeks have gone by and the situation remains the same. The solution is easy: no staff available, no classes have to be scheduled. - Reception staff are normally exceeded by multiple tasks to do at once hence the customer service is far from appropriate. Also pointing out that there are some particular cases where no kindness to the client is shown at all. - Also, the state of the facilities is disgusting 7 of 10 times I go there. Everything is dirty, urine smell in the common areas, showers, pool area. That is the main reason I only went to the swimming pool twice. I ended up giving my notice to end my membership and my wife's via the online form but so you know and if you want to do the same, if you do it after the first of the month you will be charged one extra month by contract. Disgusting experience overall.

Being to this leisure centre twice for some swimming competitions, organisation was good and the atmosphere was great too. Because the galas were during the weekend and needed to stay all day we parked on the Elmira street free of charge. The place got a coffee shop, near is a parc if you want some fresh air because inside is getting very warm with so many people in the building. Toilets (near the viewing area) not very well prepared for an event like this 😊, toilet paper missing and two of them out of order. Overall we had a nice time here.
