Energie Fitness Borough

I joined the Energie Fitness Borough gym early September 2025 as I wanted to use the sauna. I have been pleasantly surprised by how clean the Girls' changing facilities are, as my previous gym was not well maintained and suffered from drain flies, cockroaches, and other consequences of a dirty environment. I usually visit later in the evening and I'm often there when Adama, the regular cleaner, comes in to do her job. Adama is so considerate and helpful, she has always made sure I don't feel like I'm in her way, going out of her way to enable me to use the changing room, showers, and toilets while she's cleaning the areas. However, I do have one complaint regarding the facilities. I no longer use the large bin in the Girls locker room as my hand got trapped by the weighted swing lid and it was very painful.

The equipment and facilities here are good. Everything is always clean and the staff are friendly. Lockers are free to use which I really appreciate and they have hair dryer. The music is too loud and terrible choices especially early in the morning. The classes are hit and miss. Some are great with enthusiastic and encouraging instructors while others are boring or weird.
