It’s really sad to see the condition of this place. The Canada Water Leisure Centre is a brand new facility beautifully designed, modern, and full of potential . but it’s being completely let down by poor management and terrible cleanliness. I am a member here and have already spoken to the reception and asked to speak with a manager about the cleaning standards. Unfortunately, nothing seems to improve. The men’s changing room and bathroom in the gym area are disgusting. The floors are filthy and covered in black marks, the toilets have stains and splashes on the walls, and the sinks are often dirty. There’s often no soap, no detergent, and sometimes not even toilet paper. The shower area is just as bad. The floors are not properly washed they are simply hoovered or mopped over, which is unacceptable in an area where people are barefoot. There’s no deep cleaning, and it’s clearly unhygienic. It’s a shame to see a brand new installation already being left to deteriorate like this. Another serious issue is the strong smell of drains that hits you as soon as you walk into the reception area. When the gym doors open, you can smell it immediately . it’s a horrible, toilet-like odour that varies in intensity from day to day. I’ve mentioned this to reception several times, and other members I’ve spoken to have also complained. They say they’re “taking action,” but the smell keeps coming back, sometimes even stronger. It’s such a disappointment because the facility itself is beautiful, but the management clearly doesn’t care about maintaining it. There are plenty of staff around, yet no one seems to take responsibility or ensure proper cleaning. This centre desperately needs professional supervision and a serious deep-cleaning routine before it becomes completely neglected.

Canada Water Leisure Centre is an outstanding facility. The place is brand new, very spacious, and extremely well-equipped. The gym itself is huge with a wide range of treadmills, advanced machines, and free weights — plenty of space for everyone, so it never feels overcrowded. The sports facilities are excellent: full-size basketball courts, multiple badminton courts, and a large sports hall that can accommodate many activities. The group classes are also very good, with modern studios, a great atmosphere, and well-organised sessions. Infrastructure is top-class: clean changing rooms, plenty of lockers, accessible facilities, and even comfortable lounge areas to relax. The reception area is bright and welcoming, and bike parking outside is handy. Overall, this centre has everything you could want — fitness, sports, classes, and community space, all in a modern setting. I would highly recommend it to anyone in the area.
