The Essex Golf and Country Club

We stayed here on the 22.10.2025 for one night. On first arriving in the room it appeared nice and clean. The bathroom, however, was another matter the toilet was disgustingly dirty , the flush was poor considering the water pressure was fine. The bath plug was heavily rusted and corroding and the bath was chipped. The bathroom floor was marked badly with limescale. When laying in the bath and looking up at the ceiling there was a lot of staining, from what appeared to be water damage. On the whole there seemed to be a lack of maintenance and cleaning. We had breakfast included and the food was dry and poorly presented. The doors did not close quietly and so there was a lot of banging until late and early the next morning.
