Small (7 room) guesthouse with spotless, well appointed but small bedroom. View directly onto blank brick wall opposite from rooms 6& 7. If you're looking for river view go for the other rooms but you may have slightly more noise from the nearby railway from those. Staff a little grumpy but generally OK. Breakfast was OK. My main gripe is the extremely misleading rating is has managed to attain on Booking.com. This is not a five star hotel. Do not be expecting. Restaurants, swimming pools, room service, concierge, valet parking etc. that normally constitute 5 star hotels. Not that any of these are mentioned in the listing. This is an excellent 3 star guest house. It is one of (if not the) most expensive in Ely - possibly because of the rating. It is therefore somewhat over priced for what you get. Still, a very clean, warm comfortable if cosy overnight stay.

Good access to train station. And an easy walk to the main hub and Ely Cathedral. Amenities were good. Large towels which I appreciated. Ample breakfast included good food choices. Loved the location next to the canal and some great walks nearby.
