Lovely and quiet during the evening although you hear occassional traffic during the day. It's situated right behind a lovely garden nursery so I did splash out on some good value echinaceas. The site is split into separate areas for a) static caravans and b) tents & campervans etc. Quite popular with Europeans as it's not far from Harwich. Very clean, tidy, hot showers and you can park/pitch anywhere (there are no pitch markers). Excellent wildlife - rabbits, foxes, owls and possibly the most butterflies I've ever seen in one place. Also within walking distance of Beth Chatto gardens for those interested in gardening.

Nice campsite. Clean showers and toilets. Lovely walks around the wood and small lake.
