Deer's Mead Caravan & Camping Park.

We have just spent 10 days at this wonderful adults only site. The location is set in a lovely quiet area of Norfolk. The pitches are well spaced out and separated by well manicured hedging. The facilities are of a high standard, but there are only 2 toilet cubicles in the male facilities and 2 showers and the ladies had 4 toilets and 2 showers and with 35 pitches I think it could do with a couple more. The only complaint we had was the over full bins. There was only one bin for mixed rubbish and one for recycling. Both were overflowing within a day of being emptied and rubbish was overflowing into the floor with wasps everywhere. They clearly need more bins to cope with the amount of rubbish the guests produce. The site is perfectly located for Cromer and Sheringham as well as things further a The information room tells you where to walk your dog on a common just out of the site, turn first left and then left again. The only common we came across was so overgrown you would struggle to spot a giraffe in amongst the grass! Anyone looking for a peaceful retreat this is the place for you.

Just had a wonderful 5 night stay at Deers Mead.A nice small adults only campsite with fully serviced pitches although I did have to buy and extra length of hose from the caravan dealer just up the road to reach the water point,luckily my electric lead was long enough! The facilities were faultless,I would say better than some hotels I've stayed at and what a refreshing change it was not to have to keep pressing a button in the shower. Our pitch was one of the furthest from the facilities block so the wifi was a bit sketchy,especially when everybody was using it and it was constantly dropping out so next time I'll request a pitch closer to the block.Will definately be back next year,we've already scouted out a couple of pitches we'd like.
