First time here as an older couple in a caravan. On arrival we were greeted by a man and lady in a wood built check in. They were both lovely, friendly and very helpful. We were taken to our pitch. We had lots of space between the hedging. We did look for our electrical point and had to use our cable going across another pitch to hook up. The grounds are lovely and well kept. Clean and tidy. Our only issue was children, not really the children as most were really polite and no problem. The parents getting drunk and not bothering with their kids. It came to a certain time after they ate their BBQ food, they got the alcohol ready and let the children do whatever. I'm all for adults having a good time too, but there's nothing wrong with telling their kids to not kick balls at people's caravan and tents, to not ride bikes through others pitches when they are sitting quietly with their dogs. There's so much space, gardens, grounds , Park etc. Also, parents should be keeping an eye on very young ones going into the bathrooms by themselves. The poo on the toilet seats in the ladies, with toilet roll covered in poo, not flushed is not nice to walk in to. The kids all about the sinks, doing makeup at 8 years old and probably not washed their hands after the toilet, put me right off going back. This is a family place with no respect for others without children. Location was good, but needs fencing off for a bit of peace from kids kicking balls and riding bikes right next to you. Love hearing kids play, but late at night, time to wind down and parents need to lay off the booze. Or they need to do things with their kids. The 2 members of staff were 👍 Fab. Lovely location, lovely lake. Cafe a short walk. Great for dogs. Great for fishing. Nice scenery and walking areas.
