Whilst busy with rows of static caravans, the large holiday park had a good area set aside for motorhomes like us. We had a hardstanding pitch with a view of the lakes, near the excellent new facilities (hotel quality), a water tap and bins. The popular bar/pizzas/games room opened at weekends. Overall the site was very well managed, the friendly staff clearing the lakes of weed with a special aquatic vehicle and also keeping the grass clear of the droppings from the numerous grazing Canada Geese. There was even a good accessory shop at Reception. A bonus for us, and a good reason for being there, were the two largely off-road bike rides available from near the site. A return journey to Lincoln of some 45 miles was largely on NCR1, the Water Rail Trail, a former railway line paved for cycling. In the opposite direction, just under 20 miles each way took us to Boston, where we turned back at the famous Stump after enjoying coffee and cakes at the Boston Lock Café. On a third day, a short walk took us round the lakes, meeting 2 swans with 5 young and passing an impressive children’s play park. One lake was for fishing, while the other offered safe row-boating and swimming.

Large busy campsite, great lake for paddleboarding, swimming and fishing. Decent bar/restaurant and entertainment for the kids. There is only one shower block for the whole camp, so can be a trek. We went for a week over the bank holiday and it was rammed, if you're going for a quiet break avoid! During the week is great.
