The facilities are good when theyre working. Ive had several bad experiences with many staff members here who come across unhelpful, rude and miserable. Some of them are really helpful and positive like Jenny for instance. If you're female I advise you not to use the sauna or steam room. The usual middle aged men will sit around waiting to strike conversation and prey on you.... And then talk about you in a derogatory manner in the changing rooms afterwards. Some might csll it "male banter" but entirely inappropriate and very offensive if you're the unfortunate subject. I did try and report it but was basically just talking to a brick wall with single word responses. If the management sorts itself out this gym could be a lot better. Start off by greeting your members with a hello. It costs nothing. I talk as a non student member. Leicester University needs to send in a team to train the staff who spend more time talking to each other and laughing away rather than do their respective duties and treat their customers with some respect.

Overall a great gym. The gym and locker rooms are clean and well maintained. I wish there were a few more modern machines as I am not a student I do have to pay a premium that sits alongside the likes of David Llyod so would like some more equipment.
