PureGym Leicester Walnut Street

Used the gym mainly early hours (starting anywhere from 0:00-05:00). Large group of treadmills all with error codes on them which were never fixed during the entire duration of my membership, most people stopping them by using the emergency stop buttons out of pure laziness. There would be groups of people hanging round on equipment and only letting their friends use it because they’re “training each other” which is a breach of terms. Equipment and bags often left strewn across the gym floor. If the rules actually got enforced there wouldn’t be any members left because most people play by their rules not the ones they agreed to. Locker rooms adequate but often dirty, the cleaners only seem to bother with the floors. Toilets often out of loo roll and soap which once caused me to have to leave early. Vending machines constantly understocked, hottest day of the year and they were completely devoid of water when I arrived. If they weren’t understocked they were jammed and wouldn’t dispense. Large windows leaving you visible to the outside world…except when they’re completely steamed up and mouldy. Air quality is also dreadful. I understand the gym is unmanned from 22:00 but based on other reviews it’s clear that these issues are also prevalent during the day too so no excuse.

Good equipment ,facilities, unfortunately too busy most of the time , members sit on their phones blocking machines and have little to no consideration for others, I only use this gym occasionally in weekends as it’s too overcrowded in the week . Please ensure soap dispenser is full to wash hands !!
