I've been going to JD in Mansfield since they took over the building and was a member of the previous gym for a few years too. I like the app qr code log in for easy access, although since it's gone 24hr the metal gates make going in with yoga mat and gym bag a bit awkward. There is a good range of equipment and it is maintained, although a lot of the same machines seem to be out of action regularly waiting to be fixed. Id say cleanliness can be a bit of an issue. The disinfectant spray and wipes were removed about a year ago so you have to settle for sweaty and sticky equipment if you don't take your own wipes. The weekday cleaning lady with dark hair and glasses is really lovely and does an amazing job, the locker rooms (I can only vouch for the ladies) really suffer when she is not in. The ladies gym area is such a good feature. It allows you to have access to equipment in a safe space which usually is never available in the main gym. I avoid going to the gym after 4pm as it is over run with groups people who crowd machines, even if not using them and never seem to get moved on. Sometimes trying to find a staff member can be an impossible task. The classes are good, although they were cut back last year so it makes it hard to attend the ones I want to around work. The best class is run by Tiff which is the yoga. I've been going to her class for 4 years now and it really has changed my life from giving me coping mechanisms to deal with unwanted thoughts to strengthening my body. Overall it's a good gym and it's convenient to where I live.

Been going consistently to this JD gym Mansfield since July and its been my safe haven. A great gym with fab equipment. Very reasonable membership price and great shower / facilities. Really cant complain at all. Staff always helpful, keeping the equipment clean and have a smile 😃 …
