review of BIRMINGHAM BRANCH SPECIFICALLY The facilities of the gym are very decent, a lot of kit and decent equipment. HOWEVER, the gym is horrible, there is no etiquette, dumbbells are always left on the floor and individual parties use up to 4 sets of dumbbells, I get it but it’s a community gym, extremely selfish. I wanted to use the sauna but was disgusted, spitting on the floors, not washing before entering - vile. The toilets are equally disgusting do not look like they are cleaned at all. At some times it can be a pleasant experience but after work it’s awful. There is plenty of parking the car park however is always full, not an issue I understand it’s busy. The gym culture however it awful. Lack of respect for others and extreme selfish individuals. Cancelled after 5 sessions and will not be returning. Other JD gyms I been to seem a lot better, same decent equipment and a well thought out gym. The sauna is a great add on and the operating hours are very good.
