This gym has everything you need but is overpriced and in desperate need of refurbishment. The gym equipment is good and you have everything you need for a workout. I can’t believe that they advertise Spa days here though! The facilites are run down and the venue has the feeling of a council leisure centre vs a spa. My partner and I paid £25 for a day pass which didn’t include a towel. If you want a towel it’s an extra £3.50! Plus you have to pay a £5 deposit! Rather than welcoming us to the gym, the reception girl seemed more obsessed with making sure we paid for the towels. I’d paid online but it wasn’t showing on her system so she was trying to make me pay again. When I assured her that I’d paid she said that they’d needed to ‘launch an investigation’! And she wasn’t joking! Eventually I managed to show her a bank statement that proved that I could take a towel! It was really unbelievable. And the towel is just a small white towel you’d get anywhere! The sauna area was crowded and not particularly female friendly. My girlfriend didn’t feel comfortable there with the clientele. The changing rooms are not clean and the showers don’t have shampoo or conditioner. All the lockers and doors are falling apart and need replacing. The reception area feels like it’s not changed since the 90’s. Otherall, if you want a gym that has everything you need for a workout and sauna this place is fine. If you want to take your partner for a spa day this is definitely not the place!
