My friends and I stayed at this hostel for three nights. The first two nights were fine; however, the experience on the final night, which was a Saturday, was completely different. If you are looking for a hostel with a quiet and peaceful environment on Friday or Saturday nights, this may not be the best option. You should go to other hostels near the area where the owner has firm control in this matter, such as Billabong Backpackers Resort Hostel. I was quite sad to learn about this hostel from my friend. I was informed by staff that ‘It’s always hard to control on a Friday and Saturday night.’ What made the situation worse was that even the person in charge appeared unable or unwilling to manage the noise. After I finished taking a shower and had to walk through the kitchen and living area, one of the residents stared at me, made a loud “shushing” gesture, and encouraged others to do the same. I found this intimidating and inappropriate, particularly because it seemed clear they knew I had reported the noise. This has never happened on any other night. If the owner reviews the CCTV footage, it should confirm that I am describing the incident accurately. Additionally, I have already messaged the owner about the residents’ behaviour, but I have not received any response. If you value a respectful environment or expect staff to protect guests’ right to rest, this is not the place. Guests who raise legitimate concerns about noise should not feel harassed as a result.

A nice hostel not too far from Perth city center. Good things I liked: - Comfortable mattress, with a small curtain for a little privacy- Staffs were nice and helpful- common areas, kitchen, and showers/toilets were cleaned daily- Plus …
