Review is regarding Aged care Home Care Package management. I am seriously ill with heart and lung problems and no family to care for me. Living in total isolation, I need constant assistance and care from my Home Care Package. I am very unhappy with the management from St Barts for my level 4 HCP. They were very quick to send OT to assess my needs, but those needs were not met. Continuing failure to respond to phone messages, text, or email left me feel there was a passive resistance to managing my care, yet fees were always deducted. Simple things like a shower chair took months to supply! Quoted $2,500 to install 2 PowerPoint's that a reputable electrician installed for $450! Something really is not right here. Having said that, my carers were A1. Fabulous caring women, I am sorry to lose them, but I need an experienced HCP, not one that management failed me time and time again. I have a need for a high level of care, yet my service was often cancelled, with only minutes or no notice at all. Not once was I asked if I was ok without help and offered an alternative time. Understaffed and inexperienced, uncaring management. It is a definite no from me.
