This backpacker hostel is very friendly, and Jérémy will make you feel comfortable from the moment you arrive. If he can help you, he definitely will. There is a common room that is generally clean because there is a $20 deposit system: if you don’t wash or dry your dishes, your deposit is automatically taken. This encourages everyone to keep the place tidy. The common area is spacious, with a pool table, a TV and comfortable leather couches. There is also a separate gaming room with an Xbox that you can use anytime. The dining area has around twenty chairs with several small tables and three large tables for groups. Another cosy pool-table corner is available as well, with soft velvet couches everywhere. The hostel is calm and respectful. After 10 PM, noise is not allowed, which is perfect for people who work and need good sleep. From 10 PM to 8 AM, the rule is silence, and everyone respects it. Showers are cleaned every morning by a staff member. In the men’s area, there are 3 showers, 3 toilets, 2 sinks with mirrors and another sink without one. Everything is relatively clean. There is a large outdoor courtyard with an open cabana where you can relax on comfortable leather sofas. The hostel also has an outdoor parking area where you can safely park your car. The environment feels secure. Every week, many job offers are posted, and there is a strong sense of mutual help between the guests. Everyone is friendly and respectful. This place does not have a bad reputation at all — quite the opposite. Friends of mine stayed in other backpackers around Perth and they all told me this one deserves at least an 8.5/10. Some other hostels struggle with cleanliness and safety, but not this one. I highly recommend this backpacker hostel because you won’t find a better value for money. It’s the perfect place for a first experience in Australia. There are rooms of 4, 8, 12, and 16 beds with good people, and the place is both clean and peaceful. A great environment to start your Australian adventure the right way.
