Jarrah Forest Lodge

We spent the weekend here in a cadet room for a mountain biking weekend and it was great. The room was basic but that was reflected in the price, the bathrooms and showers were clean and modern. Stephanie was very helpful and friendly when I made my booking and provided some great local knowledge. Only negatives were the bathroom door closer causes it to slam, and there was a group of heavy drinkers that slammed that door every 20 minutes until 2 am. Although for the price, I couldn't expect an aircon in each room, but maybe a decent ceiling fan would be nice. Minor issues only, I would stay there again.

Lovely, well-kept, classic lodge experience that is sadly disappearing. I stayed at the 'cadet' solo accommodation on a trip through on the Bibbulmun. Though self-service, the staff I did deal with were pleasant, the accommodation was quaint, clean, and the facilities (shared laundry and toilets/showers) were immaculate. Just a quick walk from the town centre, located in beautiful bushland, it was a great place to recuperate for a couple days. I will definitely be back.
