Cottesloe Beach Chalets

Overall was happy with stay. Our room was two bedroom, two storey, 5 beds, kitchen, lounge and balcony. No ocean view and would not recommend for anyone who struggles with stairs. Fridge was on high so everything froze (including a carton of beer). No hair dryer or shampoo and conditioner. Quite dated but great value for money. 5 star on cleanliness! Actually struggled to find any sign of dirt or dust. Comfortable beds. Would definitely bring my family back!

We paid extra to get a beachfront apartment, one of the highest priced rooms advertised in Cottesloe. Unfortunately we paid a 4-star price and got a 1-star room. Part of a 1980s complex around a pool but with most units having long-term tenants leaving junk around. One neighbour was clearly a champion burper, letting loose every now and then. The first impression after opening the door was from the musty smell. The rooms have not been renovated in their lifetime - a give-away is the lack of pictures available online. Even the kitchen draws contain 1980s utensils. The cupboards throughout the apartment were misaligned.The lounge suite needs a good clean. The TV image was terrible, suggesting the screen has been dropped or smashed somehow. The toilet trickle fed for more than 5 minutes to refill the cistern. After having a shower the floor mat had black mould on the underside. The spiral stairs to the loft bedroom are a death-trap. The car park was secure but the space very small. It does indeed have a beach view but most people would feel more at home if they put a tent up on the foreshore. We booked and paid for two nights but left after one preferring to lose our money than stay any longer.
