St. Kilda Accommodation

Hi there, I am not the one to leave a bad review but i have to for this place. To be honest, i did have high expectations due to what i saw on their website.. I feel like this is false advertisement from what shows online. the place is very very dirty, the showers, bathroom, dorms, I am sorry but it is not worth $58.28 for what i paid for,. As someone who has server asthma i had a hard time sleeping due to how dirty this place was.. Gum was found on the bunk , front dest isnʻt open 24/7. They close at 430pm) * they were very responsive to my emails so I will give them that* i was told by someone that they show up when they want to in the mornings when they feel like it. ( no one is on site the whole time to keep things tidy & cleaned . I have lived in so many hostels over a decade of traveling, and I have to say this is pretty bad... This is a health concern,... There was 2 germans ladies who were also in my room and they were super sweet & they also felt the same way... Idk how people can live in this filth... The pillows are very flat, Underneath the beds never get cleaned, It was very dirty, dishes were under there too,,, This place isnʻt 100% safe if you have medical conditions * not to mention how very difficult it was to find.. * as someone who has hostel & hospitality experience of 8 years, I know you can only do so much when you are short staff but at least try to keep this place a bit more cleaned and be honest on your advertisement. Also donʻt be lazy and work when you feel like it. This is supposed to be a Hostel and not feel like a homeless shelter. Maybe i came on a bad time and maybe they didnt have the people to clean this hostel, if that is the case then I would give some grace.... there is also not a common space, you have the kitchen but its very very small and the front desk area is super small also. ) . The rubbish was overflowing in the bathroom, no soap was provided in the girls bathroom during my stay and the shower and toilet were very dirty and gross.. the females bathroom has 2 showers and 2 toliet) * There is NO laundry here as well. overall this place is not worth paying almost 60$ per night im sorry. =( The only good thing about this place was the sweet girl i met when i checked in and some of the people who were staying there was super nice..

Very dirty, bathrooms unclean and small. Men’s bathroom went without toilet paper and paper towels for a day. Rooms unclean. Quiet hours not enforced. Skip this place. Great location, which makes it hard to skip/easy to book. It’s cheap for a reason. Also very hard to find when arriving.
