The building is old and needs to be demolished and a new aquatic centre built for residence of Dandenong. The family change area is the most unhygienic public space I have seen. The door frames around the toilet & shower are covered in rust. There is tiles missing and the grot has stained the grout , tiling and floors. There is a trolley bed blocking the entrance into the end shower cubicles which is old and looks very unsafe for use by disabled as I presume that's the purpose of it been placed in this area. It's a safety hazard and very dangerous to other people using this area. The smell is harendous even the bleach can't mask the foul stench. This is very unhygienic and the fact the spa has a sign stating 'NO SPITTING' says enough in itself. The gym area is not wheelchair accessible as there is stairs up to it. The downstairs 'circuit room' was advised to be disabled accessible in place of the main gym been not accessible. However 'the circuit room' has outdated equipment which is not suitable for disabled people (I'm disabled so can verify this) The equipment in this room needs to be updated as the weights weren't a complete set, the pully set was well worn and difficult to use. It was in diar need of maintenance. The fees to use the facility are over priced. I paid $19 as a casual guest for the use of the hydro pool & gym. I could not access the gym and the 'circuit room' did not have accessible equipment I could use. I felt exposed & unsafe In the family change area as the door was rusted and wouldn't close securely for me to get undressed privately without a passer by seeing in if they looked. The smell turned my stomach and made me feel nauseated so I didn't get changed to even access the hydro pool. The overall experience of visiting Oasis was eye opening and I strongly warn people to reconsider using this facility especially other disabled people. Dandeong needs a new aquatic centre and council need to condem the Oasis before someone is injured from using unsafe gym equipment or get sick from the very poor hygiene conditions here. The neglected and debilitated state of the facilty leaves great concern for the welfare of those who use it.

I go here twice a week for hydrotherapy. I have been doing this on and off for over 6 years. Most staff are friendly. But the ones that are not are just plain rude. Unfortunately, theft and vandalising at this place place is over the top. Seems on a weekly basis that the disabled toilets near the hydrotherapy pool were having the handheld shower heads either stolen or torn off the walls. I'm not sure how they can stop that behaviour, but they need to. Recently, they did an upgrade to the showers in the disabled showers and and they're so much better. Thank you
