Cannot understand how this place has such good reviews! Our experience was disappointing and incredibly frustrating from the moment we arrived to check in. Arrived tired after a 4 hour drive only to be told there was no record of our booking (despite us booking over the phone directly with them many weeks ago and receiving an email receipt confirming payment and the cabin number). Needed to wait over half an hour while the caretaker got the cabin cleaned and beds made (raises some questions when one lot of guests leave a cabin and the place isn't automatically cleaned and ready to go in preparation for the next lot of guests...) When we eventually got in to the cabin, there was an unpleasant musty cigarette-like smell in the air. Not overbearing but definitely noticable. We were provided with 2 towels for 4 guests, one towel with a bloodstain on it. When I took the blood stained towel back to reception to ask for another one and for some additional towels for the other guests, the caretaker told me she had been washing some and kept "forgetting" to bring them across to us and would do that shortly. Over 1.5 hours later and still no towels. I called them up and again asked for fresh towels; eventually brought across over half an hour later, with a simple "here you go", no apology or acknowledgement whatsoever. One would think that if you have already inconvenienced your guests by losing their booking and then making them wait until you get it ready, you would try and redeem yourself by "remembering" to get them settled in and bring them some towels and would apologise for the inconveinienes. At the very least. Our frustrations only grew when we went to have a shower that night and realised there was no soap to use. Also no milk supplied for the coffee and tea. We are reasonable people. The lost record of our booking was likely human error and we all know mistakes happen. We would have easily put it down to a mistake and moved on, but when you consider being charged $230 a night and getting woeful customer service, dirty linen and lack of basics like soap and milk, I'm sure you can see why we're not impressed! Perhaps the caretakers don't often receive guest holiday bookings so things get a bit chaotic for them when they do (looked to be quite a lot of permanent residences around the park - maybe they make up the majority). Maybe the business has recently changed hands and is being run by new owners who are still finding their feet. Or maybe they actually just don't give a crap about their guests, which is definitely how it seemed to us. The positives are that the accomodation is located in a nice quiet spot close to the beach and a short drive to Balnarring. Cabin was stocked with cutlery and plates, had a ceiling fan in the main bedroom and split system in the living area - temperature was comfortable.

Went here over the past two days and staff were extremely friendly, cabin was clean, quiet, and private. Secured boom gate to get on the property and great amenities. Next time we come we will be booking again.
