Great Location and Comfort, but Be Aware of Maintenance and Odour Issues The Mornington Hotel is well-located, making it easy to explore the surrounding area. The staff were friendly and helpful, creating a welcoming atmosphere throughout our stay. Our room was spacious and comfortable, with a newly renovated bathroom that felt clean and modern. The message bathtub was a pleasant surprise and added a nice touch of relaxation. It’s also worth noting that there’s a Pokey outlet within the hotel, which may appeal to some guests looking for entertainment options on-site. There were a number of issues that took away from the overall experience. A strong sewage smell in the bathroom was difficult to ignore, and one of the tap levers was missing. We also found a bathroom accessory that had already been opened, which was concerning from a hygiene perspective. The wardrobe was missing a hanger, and a faulty light switch with poor contact made it inconvenient to use. Additionally, the corridor leading to the rooms had a strong smell of cigarette smoke, which lingered and affected the overall comfort. Addressing these issues would significantly improve the quality of the stay.
