Golden Square Pool

I feel very lucky that this is our local pool and it’s close enough to walk to (even if it’s a couple blocks). Sam the president is a friendly guy who is always chatting with volunteers and patrons. The volunteers are ALWAYS so welcoming and helpful, even the kids! Love that there’s a smaller shallow pool for younger kids who are just learning - I do wish that parents of older rougher children would be aware of that however the lifeguards are usually on top of anything dangerous. Cheap kiosk prices for snacks and drinks or even goggles if you need them, I would like entry cost to be cheaper as it’s $16 for myself and 2 kids to get in with a concession card but it’s volunteer run and the profits go back into the pools maintenance so I’m happy to pay it! 2 warm showers in the women’s change room which is great because the pool can be chilly some days and my kids like to warm up and get dressed before we walk home again. The man in charge of the lawns needs a special mention because you can tell he works so hard on getting that grass so green and manicured. What a beautiful little place to do some reading by the pool, take your baby for their first swim or go for a family evening like the movie night or food truck events.

Nice lovely swimming pool for families and has plenty of shade staff are very kind and friendly
