My family has been visiting Dandenong Oasis for several years now. It's a nice little pool complex, that includes a small heated spa, hydro pool, sauna & shallow kiddie pool. Everything that you're looking for in a local, well maintained swimming pool. Only the hydro pool offers wheelchair accessibility (via portable hoist), which is unfortunate (but better than nothing). Group exercise classes are also available. I'm sad to say though that despite the good array of swimming and wellness facilities offered by this complex, the customer service is absolutely appalling. If you're unlucky enough to be overcharged by one of the ever-rotating casual junior staff members at the front desk who frequently make mistakes at your expense, or if you can't get into an Aqua Fun/Fit class because they've been overbooked (which you have paid extra for in advance, mind you) - good luck getting any help. It's not possible to actually get your money back via refund (Oasis policy - yes, really), and although the promise of swim credits apparently exists for overcharges, they're harder to get your hands on than a rainbow coloured unicorn farting coffee scented fairy dust. The junior cashiers (who are the only point of call at the pool if you run into a problem) will generally lead you down a maze of misinformation, until one of them will eventually advise you to get in touch with the elusive customer service manager, Simone, via email. You follow this advice, and if you're lucky, Simone might respond to your email within 2-3 weeks (or maybe not at all, if she doesn't feel that way inclined), to let you know that she won't help you. If you then decide to go back to the pool to speak to Simone face-to-face about your problem, the junior at the cash register will first pretend to not know who Simone is, and after eventually kindly remembering, will not be able to tell you whether she is in the building or not. They will also not be able to check if she is present or not. You will most unfortunately be directed back to your computer, and asked to send her an email (which may or may not be responded to). It sounds comical and somewhat exaggerated, but I'm sorry to say that it's not. It's a great little pool as far as infrastructure goes, but heaven help you if you need assistance in any way, from anyone. Know your prices before going in there, because the staff don't. Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

Great community leisure centre with a big pool area, gym and plenty of group classes. The facilities are clean and staff are always friendly and helpful. It’s a good spot for both casual swimming and regular fitness. Can get busy at peak times, but overall a fantastic place for families and individual.
