BIG4 Ballarat Windmill Holiday Park

I’ve never been to a caravan park before that has dedicated fenced sites for dog owners and a dog waterpark. This place makes traveling with your fur babies easy. The fenced sites cost a little bit more than the unfenced sites but the ease it creates is well worth it. I didn’t have to worry about going to the showers or camp kitchen, my dog was safely fenced in and happy after a big swim. Easy check in, located on the western edge of Ballarat with a shopping centre less than a km away. Facilities were clean, modern and close to my site. Plenty of amenities, pool, gym, tennis, basketball and playground. This is now my go to spot when visiting Ballarat.

Our first time here, we camped on a powered site, sites were a good size with a concrete slab. The amenities were all very nice, clean and decent sizes. Laundry was all very reasonably priced. Children had an absolute ball, indoor heated pool nice & big with a small splash zone for littlies. Jumping pillow, playgrounds and sandpits were all a hit and we made daily visits to the local chickens to give them some scraps. We attended in the school holidays where they did an activity each day for the children & a movie night each night. Was fantastic, will definitely be coming back.
