Excellent patrol crew, such a great place to catch waves for all ages as the sand is flat and doesn't drop down at the water edge so waves come in smoother to shore (not dumping you) for nice long boogie board rides! You can play in smaller waves at shallow shoreline too or teach your kids to boogie board. Large beach, beautiful sand, nice dunes and cliff views. New Cafe and bar at the SLSC has great views and service. Yummy food too but not always open. You would need to cross road to get food otherwise. Drinktap by playground and inlet. Parking in various places but you need to carry your stuff a little ways depending on where you park. Beach carts only useful if coming down SLC driveway to beach. Outside showers by toilets at parking or SLC. Also in older toilet block by SLC.Be safe, swim between the flags and watch your kids as conditions change with the tides. A favourite spot every year.
