The Devonport Backpackers has a really good feel to it. Located in an interesting Federation styled building it may not look all that impressive on the outside but inside it's clean, the staff member was welcoming and felt comfortable. The bathroom didn't have the best ventilation but the water pressure was amazing. The best water pressure that I have experienced - ever. The bedroom was clean and the bed comfortable enough and didn't have any squeaks. The kitchen area is large and the lounge area is inviting. Overall I really enjoyed this hostel and will consider it my first choice when staying in Devonport.
