Room was dirty, smelt like an ashtray, out of date milk in a turned off fridge, 2 scrunched up coffee sachets a joke, crockery needed washing, soap dish in shower broken and very sharp. please people ask to inspect your room before staying in this filth. When complaint was made to the Manager he laughed and said our room was freshly painted beautiful room..errr no Raj it wasn't. They dont deserve even 1 star, will never go back.

My recent stay at the Pooraka Motor Inn in Adelaide was unfortunately quite disappointing, particularly given the cost of over $1000 for the week. This was my first visit to Adelaide, and I had anticipated a more positive experience. A significant issue throughout my stay was the persistent noise disturbances. Despite multiple signs around the property requesting quiet after 10 PM, I was repeatedly subjected to loud arguments and screaming from a neighboring room, presumably occupied by a long-term resident and her children. These disturbances often extended well past midnight and continued into the early hours of subsequent mornings, severely impacting our ability to rest. Furthermore, the in-room amenities were unsatisfactory. The milk pods provided in the refrigerator were expired as of December 9, 2024, which I only discovered after consuming most of my coffee and finding curdled milk at the bottom of the cup. The bed and pillows were also notably uncomfortable, feeling exceptionally hard. On a positive note, the motel's proximity to my friend's residence and the availability of free parking were convenient. However, these minor benefits do not outweigh the overall poor experience. For the price paid, my expectations for comfort and a peaceful environment were not met. Given these concerns, I would not recommend the Pooraka Motor Inn and will seek alternative accommodation for any future visits to Adelaide.
