Nightcap at Federal Hotel Mt Gambier

Excellent location central to everything, the whole place has character to it, meals from the pub were fast. All staff were friendly & approachable. would have been better if the music downstairs wasn't blasting from 8 in the morning as it woke us up 2 days in a row (from different time zone) hot water in the shower was hit and miss, room service just opened the door without knocking or announcing their presense.

Cozy old hotel building. The rooms were nice, the bed was comfy. Had trouble getting the AC going, the remote was a little more complex than what I have at home. I was in room 17, which gets a lot of road noise, and a lot of noise from the bar on gaming night from down below, which stopped at 9pm. They did offer some free ear plugs and coffee which was delicious. The shower is kind of small for a big guy like myself. And the shower head was super huge, with great pressure. Overall a nice place, will definitely keep it on the list.
