Lakes Resort Hotel

It's rare I stay somewhere that properly impresses me from start to finish. The Lakes Resort is one such hotel. Staff are incredible, the rooms immaculate, housekeeping top notch, and parking is actually decent, all right on the water! PROS: ✅ Some of the most professional and friendly staff I've ever encountered in Australia working the front desk! ✅ Good size rooms, mine had an amazing view of the water. ✅ Nicely appointed. Modern, clean, and elegant. ✅ Bed was very comfortable. ✅ Good assortment of pillows, firm and soft ✅ Good AC ✅ Blackout Curtains ✅ Nice shower, with crazy good hot water all the time ✅ Plentiful Parking (not reserved), BUT plenty more free options close by, although I always got a bay on site. ✅ Connected to a very nice restaurant with water views. ✅ Next door to big shopping centre with food options and more. CONS: ❌ Not really con per say, more of a note: The corridors felt like they needed a bit of a renovation, the ceilings felt a bit old and looked a bit rough which brought the atmosphere down a little when walking to an from your room as did the elevators which felt like they needed a good service (slow doors and very clunky, felt a bit precarious)

Cannot fault any part of my experience with Lakes Resort Hotel. On a mid-week night we, along with everyone else, booked a room at the sold out Lakes Resort Hotel as we were attending another sold out gig in town. Even under the pressure of a full house every interaction with staff was so pleasant (special mention to the wonderful staff member who was on duty at breakfast and accommodated our special request and made it a breeze for us, thank you!). The beds were comfortable and the shower was divine at the end of a long day of travelling. Lovely balcony overlooking the lake with lots of local activity to take in. The afternoon sun hits the balcony wonderfully too. Across the road from the local Westfield and an onsite restaurant - this ticked all the boxes and more. Our booking included breakfast which to our delight was not a standard hotel buffet fare but rather a selection made-to-order from their breakfast menu with bottomless coffee/tea/juice. It didn’t feel like a breakfast as I have come to expect when it’s included in a booking but rather it felt like we were out for breakfast at a local cafe with a great view and attentive staff.
