Discovery Parks - Lake Bonney

Great view and lots to do for the kids in this caravan park. Our site was right on the waterfront. Large swimming pool with lots of shade available, splash park, bike pump track, jumping pillow and playground. The splash park looks quite faded so could be due for an update. Plenty of stuff to hire on the lake too like stand up paddle boards, paddle boats and kayaks. Also water trampolines set up all the time. The website says family facilities but I don’t believe a plastic baby bath on a bench is exactly a “family facility”. Definitely needs a parent room where the family can go in to make bathing a little one more convenient. Even a block with a couple larger stalls big enough for parents and child with a bath shower combo would be beneficial to families. We had our 5 month old and would have liked if this was available to us. Caravan park was a short walk to Main Street and another playground and cafe. Enjoyed our stay.

We stayed in a deluxe cabin near the waters edge. 2 bedroom, bathroom, equipped kitchen. Wifi included, the TV had Netflix but it wasn't usable (internet connection too slow). Great water park and swimming pool, playground and inflatable pillow. One thing about the pump track is that bikes with training wheels are not great on this, track itself is too slippery so you need an experienced bike rider. Scooter would be fine.
