Urban Xtreme in Brisbane feels completely neglected when it comes to the under-fives area. What’s meant to be a space for little ones is rundown, poorly maintained, and clearly an afterthought. Several parts of the play area are broken, and there’s next to nothing that actually entertains or engages children in this age range. It gives the impression that it hasn’t been properly cared for or updated in a long time. What’s worse, there’s an emergency exit with a low handle that opens straight into the car park — a serious safety hazard for toddlers. It’s shocking that this hasn’t been addressed. The bathroom facilities were also in poor condition — unclean, and out of five women’s toilets, only one had toilet paper. It really summed up the overall lack of attention and care across the venue. The staff seem undertrained and unable to manage even simple requests without waiting for a manager to step in, and the café food is inconsistent and low quality. The overall vibe is one of neglect and disorganisation rather than fun and family-friendly. And while the height limit may technically allow kids 7-10 yrs on the Ninja course, the reality is that most can’t even reach the equipment, making it more frustrating than enjoyable. For families with younger children, I strongly recommend choosing another venue. There are far better-maintained and genuinely child-friendly places in Brisbane that care about safety, hygiene, and engagement — all things Urban Xtreme seems to have forgotten.
