Novotel Sunshine Coast Resort

I booked this resort through Jetstar holidays deal and had a very low expectations after reading a bunch of mixed reviews. However, I was pleasantly surprised as the resort was much more than I expected. It’s definitely not a brand new resort however quite well maintained. We had a garden view room with queen and single beds and it was specious, clean and comfortable with enough storage and comfy beds. Buffet breakfast was amazing with lots of choices. The other facilities included swimming pool (towels provided), spa, very well equipped gym, kayaks etc were also great. On-site food, drink and snack options were good as well. Additionally, resort grounds were amazing with variety of Australian wildlife like kangaroos and some exotic birds and a nice walking track around the lake. Overall resort staff was very attentive and super friendly. Definitely recommended!!

Had a week recently at twin waters. We have thee kids under 4 so we got a double interconnecting room. We arrived and our room wasn’t ready - it was 3.30pm…. Check in is at 2pm. Ok two drink vouchers given. Our room wasn’t ready finally ready by 4.30pm. Rooms were dated and old but mostly clean. Buffet breakfast is good - good range and an omelette station which hit the spot. Saturday and Sunday were extremely busy. Our room didn’t get serviced on Sunday and even when they said they couldn’t accomodation our clean and asked for towels they didn’t deliver them. Same with the next day, got to 2pm and I called again reminding them our room hadn’t been cleaned again. They came at 4.45pm. Resort is run down, pool is small. Everyone and their kids were on the pool over the weekend and even when some teenagers were doing bomb dives off the deck into the pool no one stopped them. We went a few years ago just as a couple and had a similar experience. Sadly, not what it once was. Day trips to Ginger Factory, Australia Zoo and the Aquarian was what made the trip in the end.
