Good place to spend a few hours. Two large slides for older kids and a smaller set and splash area for younger kids. Olympic pool with split lanes for recreational and serious swimming. Cafe selling all the usual stuff and surprisingly good coffee! Friendly staff.

I'm compelled to respond to a previous review where allegations that an off duty staff member from Nambour Aquatic Centre was trying to remove any item from a patron's personal bag and then ran away. I empathically and categorical state that this is a false accusation that has not a semblance of truth. I and others in the 25 metre pool where well aware of the circumstances of this incident both prior and after this event took place. At no stage was this off duty staff member attempting or had the intension to remove or steal any item from this patron's bag for personal gain. For anyone to have the pertinacity to make such allegations without spending a minute or two to realise an honest mistake was made, is unfair. It is wrong to attempt to tarnish the reputation of another without taking the time to realise it was an honest mistake. It was easy to quickly ascertain that this patron's bag was picked up mistakenly, rather than that of another bag which was placed directly beside her bag. To then write a review making false allegations, is a result of haste and misrepresentation when describing the events. I will outline with specificity what I witnessed and had occurred before and after this event took place. I requested the off duty staff member to do a favour by passing my swim gloves to me as I had left them in my swim bag. I had wished to show another patron what they looked like and how to use them to do shoulder and arm strengthening exercises. I pointed to my bag so the off duty staff member could remove my swimming gloves from my bag and pass them to me, however the patron's bag was directly beside my bag which contained my swim gloves and was picked up mistakenly instead of mine. I heard the patron call out to the off duty staff member, and I realised the wrong bag was picked up, and immediately let the off duty staff member know that my bag was the bag beside the one she had picked up. The off duty staff member apologised to the patron, removed the gloves from my bag and got back into the pool and handed the gloves to me. Unfortunately completely by accident the patron's bag was inadvertently picked up, as it was mistakenly deemed as belonging to me. The accusation from the patron that a staff member said ''sort of sorry and ran away'', is blatantly false. There was a clear apology made for mistakenly picking up the wrong bag. There was certainly no running away, or moving away from the area, as the gloves were passed to me by the off duty staff member as she got into the 25 metre pool where the patron was also exercising. I'm incensed that a false accusation of this nature appeared in a review on this platform. I would suggest this patron in future take the time to ascertain the circumstance of the event before making allegations, as stated there was no intension to remove or steal any item from her bag. It was a simple and honest mistake, after I requested this staff member who was not on duty, to assist me by removing my swimming gloves from my bag. There was no impropriety on the part of the off duty staff member at all, rather an honest mistake made when trying to do a favour for me. The staff member who was mentioned, had no bad intention whatsoever, there was no ''running away''. There certainly was an apology, and it was clearly evident to me and others that the patron's bag was picked up mistakenly for another bag. The truth of the situation should have been realised very quickly, as it was obviously an honest mistake. I have been a patron of the Nambour Aquatic Centre for decades, and I have known the staff member mentioned for at least 9 years. They have always been honest and kind in their dealings with other patrons when both on and off duty. As you would understand this has been very distressing for this staff member to have to now deal with a negative review such as this, and put under scrutiny, and for other people to possibly question her character and good intensions, is very saddening.
