Our family had an excellent time at Habitat Noosa. Starting with the booking process, LeAnn was extremely helpful working through some tech challenges placing the reservation from the US. Our stay over Christmas holiday was great - the kangaroos are everywhere, staying in the shade of our tent during the day. We reserved the premium paperbark glamping tents with the ensuite bathroom and shower- they were in great shape and clean. This time of year there are often massive thunderstorms in the evening, and the glamping tents were very sturdy and dry. Restaurant/bar were a nice bonus with more food and drink options than I expected at a campground. Access between the campground and nearby towns/highway was easy.

It’s overhyped. The site is too big for the amount of guests and the size of the campsite. The pitches are very lumpy. The bar area is very nice but this is evidently where they have spent their money—the toilets and showers are lacklustre. We camped in the gums and we were too far from the showers. Little to no internet connection across the site; but free WiFi available at the bar. Also, they have an unnecessarily restrictive check-in process. They’ll flat-out turn you down and leave you stranded if you check in after 21:00. Not ideal if you’re travelling long distances to stay here. The camp kitchen did not have any hobs for normal cooking. Many other sites have far better cooking facilities. Cool that there were tonnes of kangaroos and lizards around. The lakeside is also very nice, although the powered sites back directly onto the sandy beach area. It feels like you’re invading other guest’s space if you sit on the beach in the evening.
