I’m swimming here at the moment while Jindalee Pool undergoes maintenance for the next month. This pool looks fantastic, the facilities are very clean and the water is a great temp (I’m amazed the heater held up with the 10 degree weather this morning), my only issue is that there seems to be no order with regards to lane availability. The website says there’s 4 lap swimming lanes available most mornings from 5am, but when I swam on Tuesday and Thursday this week, there was barely even one lane available with the squad/program swimmers taking over the designated lap lanes. At one point there were 9 people in a laps lane and approximately 5 of them were squad swimmers, as a total amateur it was a bit stressful to keep up with them so as not to slow them down! I could even see one of them getting a bit annoyed that they couldn’t overtake due to the number of people in the lane. I’m wondering if the website/lane designation is inaccurate or if this is normal pool etiquette for Dunlop? Either way I am keen for Jindalee Pool to reopen.
