Wanngardi Caravan Park

I write this review after a sound, relaxing, peaceful sleep in what felt like the wilderness. How this place is only 10-15min drive from the center of town is beyond understanding. When calling requiring an unplanned visit as plans had changed. Josh promptly answered, was beyond accommodating, friendly and informative many hours prior to check in. Power and Water hook up the best yet, for both pressure, taste and ease - having traveled from Melbourne staying with the regular big named parks I now know my expectations of these bigger more expensive parks needs some adjustment. Honestly the hottest shower I’ve had in over a week, clean, a camp kitchen with everything you “need”, environmentally friendly sustainable products used in the bathroom facilities as well as a recycling station. If waking up surrounded by nature, with breathtaking views and tranquility is the experience you’re seeking this is the place for you. Josh and his family are fair dink‘em top people. If you wish to have a fire, wood and even a fire pit can be supplied. We had a great time and will be back if ever passing through again. Travelling with teenagers and a young child not once did we feel unsafe. We even unhooked to go into town! Thank you so much for having us! The camel rides are across the road, which was another bonus of our trip seen as our planned Uluru rides were cancelled. Highly recommend coming here to stay if wanting to do the camel rides.

Such a lovely, spacious, peaceful campground. Helpful and friendly hosts, best recycling system I have ever seen, clean , homely bathrooms and a good camp kitchen. Loved our 3 nights staying here.
