Virgin Active Bligh Street Gym

The staff and instructors are friendly and welcoming. The gym is fairly clean and amenities are good. Equipment are good but floor space is very limited. I had to cancel my membership because the gym is so busy it’s almost unusable. Good luck finding a barbel at peak hours. And you may have to line up for shower. Earlier in 2024/2025 it didn’t used to be like this, so not sure what changed.

This is the newest Virgin Active gym in Sydney and the second gym in their Collection gyms. It is a bit more expensive at $45-60 per week depending on how long you sign up for. Everything is brand new and the club was beautifully made. As I walk through the hallways I feel like I am walking through a hotel. The new technology at this gym include the self cleaning boxing gloves and cycle shoes. The machine sprays antibacterial spray in them. This gym is best if you will make use of the classes. There's boxing, The Grid (circuit class), cycling, reformer pilates, and yoga. The trainers are nice and helpful. The gym equipmemt and machines are on levels 2 and 3 and there aren't that many so if you are going for weights and equipment, go to the Pitt St club. The showers are really nice and towels are included. They also have dyson hairdryers and GHD hair straighteners. They offer blow dry services on Thursday and Friday nights
